A Court of Mist and Fury #2

Synopsis

Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court–but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might just be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

My Thoughts

This review is more about the feelings I had while reading this book. For my thoughts on the world-building and the start of the series, you can find my review of the first book here.

It seems I am now adding Fantasy to my list of genres. We’ll see how I feel after I finish the series.

This book was jam-packed with so many details and twists, and oh, my heart! It gave me all the feels!

Happiness and “aww, sweet man” moments were felt. Giddiness! I gasped. I said “oh shit” out loud (this doesn’t happen often). I felt angsty. I got angry, so, so angry. Hate was felt very strongly. Sadness played a role. And then satisfaction and “YES” ruled at the end.

I cannot wait to see where Elain’s and Nesta’s stories are going.

I really enjoyed this one. The characters developed beautifully, and the story and plot thickened even more.

I have a feeling that the next book is going to be even more jam-packed.

So, on to the next book!
